We stock 237 different tire sizes. Twenty of these cover more than a quarter of the entire range. We’ve calculated which ones they are, what they cost, and where the selection is good – and in doing so, found a rule that will save more money on your next car purchase than any tire decision thereafter.

All prices are per tire, including VAT. The low and high ends represent the 10th and 90th percentiles, respectively; extreme outliers have been removed.

What stands out

205/55 R16 remains the largest single dimension with 575 items. Its median price is 83 Fr. For 235/55 R19, it's already 159 Fr. This means the size dictated by the vehicle often influences the price more than the choice of brand within a given size.

175/65 R14, with a median of 65 Fr., continues to be one of the cheapest common dimensions. A set costs around 260 Swiss francs in the mid-range, while 235/55 R19 is around 640 Swiss francs.

From 14 to 22 inches, the median price rises from 65 Fr. to 295 Fr. Larger wheels are therefore a permanent cost factor, not only when buying the vehicle but also over several sets of tires.

How to use the table

If an offer is significantly below the 10 percent value, check the brand, season, load capacity, and rating particularly carefully. Above the 90 percent value, it's worth asking whether an OE approval, special technology, or sport design truly justifies the surcharge for your vehicle.
