It is suitable for commutes, city driving, and longer journeys in mild to warm temperatures. Additional markings, such as a BMW star marking, indicate a vehicle-specific version and should be matched with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications. It performs best in mild to warm temperatures, when the tread and compound are within the intended operating range for summer road conditions.

In everyday Swiss driving, the Energy Saver supports a quiet, fuel-efficient driving style on dry and wet roads. As a summer tire, however, it is not designed for snow and ice; in persistently low temperatures, a suitable winter tire is the safer choice.
